We consult, engineer, install, repair and maintain university-owned audio-visual equipment. We also provide audio-visual system integration engineering services for lecture halls, technology classrooms, and video conferencing. If available, an equivalent piece of equipment can be provided to a department while an item is being serviced. Equipment will be repaired for the cost of replacement parts and labor.
Our two studio classrooms feature remote-controlled cameras (including document cameras for display of handwritten material, three-dimensional objects, or visual aids), wireless microphones, and computer projection with annotation.
Media Technology Services supports Michigan Tech's Online Learning (HuskyCast) technology. Other non-course events can also be recorded to DVD and encoded for online delivery. Other services include DVD transfers, CD/DVD duplications, video encoding and streaming, videotape duplication, location videotaping, and editing services.
Please see the classroom directory for equipment/capabilities for rooms. Additional equipment can be checked out through Information Technology.
